Warm Compress Treatment
The small glands along your eyelids, called meibomian glands, produce oils that form an important part of your tears and help prevent them from evaporating too quickly. When these glands become blocked or sluggish, your eyes can become dry and uncomfortable. Our in-house warm compress treatment uses controlled warmth to help soften and loosen the oils within these glands, preparing them for expression.
Eyelid Expression
Following the warm compress, we can perform gentle eyelid expression to help release built-up oils from the meibomian glands. This can help improve the flow of the oils that are essential for maintaining a healthy tear film.
